The FCT police command has summoned its officers in a viral video ass@ulting some members of the public.
The video which was shared on social media on Tuesday, October 21, showed the officers forcing a man into their patrol van while also slapping another and forcing him into their patrol van.
The video sparked an outcry on social media with many calling for the sanctioning of the officers.
In a statement posted via her X handle, the command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said the officers have been identified and summoned.
‘’The Commissioner of Police FCT, strongly condemns such acts of unprofessionalism. All officers depicted in the video have been identified and summoned to the Command HQ for questioning. The complainant(s) are also invited to the Command HQ to give their statement to aid the investigation process.
