Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has sent a congratulatory message to the country’s U-20 team after they qualified for the final of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.d
Recall that Argentina will face Morocco in the final on Sunday, October 19, after beating Colombia 1-0 in the semi-final this week.
A second-half goal from Mateo Silvetti ensured Argentina defeated Colombia and will face Morocco in the final after the North Africans defeated France in the other semi-final clash.
Reacting, Messi, in a post on his Instagram story, also hailed Inter Miami’s Mateo Silvetti for scoring the goal of the encounter.
“Let’s go to the finals! Congratulations to everyone! Great @toto.silvetti,” Messi wrote.
Argentina is currently the most successful nation in the history of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
They have won the title a record six times in the past and will look to win a record-extending seventh U-20 title when they tackle Morocco.
