Ahmadu Finitri, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated Aisha Dahiru Binani, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to clinch a second term in office after a tightly contested election.
Mele Lamido, the returning officer for the Adamawa governorship election, declared Fintiri as the winner after the collation of the supplementary election results on Tuesday, April 18.
Fintiri polled 430,861 votes to defeat Aisha Binani who polled 398,788 votes.
