Marking her posthumous birthday, Chinney said this is the first time she hasn’t been able to call her on her birthday, and it feels strange. She said she is still trying to figure out how to navigate this life without her, as her mother was her everything.

Chinney revealed that her mother was never sick, not even once, and they spoke hours before her death. She appreciated her for everything she did for them.

Hailing her, the filmmaker described her mother as a woman king and a fashionista, never to be caught unfresh. According to her, her mother was a star and shone everywhere she went.

“Americana! Americoco! Today would have been your birthday, ooo! First time I never got to call you on your birthday, and it still feels strange!

Oh, death, why? I knew it would come, but not now! We had plans ooo. So what’s supposed to happen to all our plans?? Haaaa! Still trying to figure out how to navigate this life without You.
Everyone who knows me knows my mum was my everything, and this is the most difficult pill I have had to swallow ever! You were never sick even once. We even spoke for hours, and you were as vibrant… Everyone is still in shock. How are you okay one minute, and the next you are no more? What’s the point of this life then? Too many questions I wanna ask God ooo!

Agu nwanyi! Woman King! Fashionista! My mum was never to be caught unfresh. My mum was a star; she shone everywhere she went!
Who didn’t know Americanaaaa! My Business Mogul, My globe trotter…
Thank you for the love, for everything you did for us! We all are because you were!
I don’t even know what to write again. This is just too hard!
I love you, mummy! Always and forever
And Noooo I am not okay”.
