Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again captured public attention with the announcement of his upcoming nationwide music tour, set to take him across several major cities in Nigeria.

The tour kicks off on October 18 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Known as the home ground of the Super Eagles, the stadium can host around 30,000 fans, with extra seating available on the pitch to accommodate more concertgoers.

From Uyo, Davido will head to Enugu, where he’s scheduled to perform at Michael Okpara Square on October 26. Though smaller than Uyo’s venue, the square is a fan-favorite among locals, and excitement is already building in the Southeast for his arrival.

Next on the itinerary is Yola, Adamawa State, where the artist will thrill fans at Mahmud Ribadu Square on October 29. The open-air location has no fixed capacity, and ticket details are still under wraps, but expectations in the Northeast remain sky-high.

The first phase of the tour wraps up on November 2 at the historic Liberty Stadium now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan. With seating for about 25,000 people, the venue holds a special place in Nigeria’s cultural and sporting heritage as the nation’s first modern stadium.

Davido isn’t stopping there. The second leg of his tour will see him perform at Eagle Square in Abuja on December 14, before closing the year in grand style with a Christmas Eve concert at Eko Hotel in Lagos  a show already anticipated to be a highlight of the festive season.

Announcing the tour on his Instagram page, Davido expressed his excitement and gratitude to fans for their continuous support as he prepares to bring unforgettable performances to stages across the country.

“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time… I’m bringing it HOME. 🫡 After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 . 5IVE TOUR NIGERIA, y’all ready??!! This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for US. #Davido #Homecoming. #5iveAliveTour. #Wema5iveAliveTour.”
