Fulham will take on Arsenal on Sunday afternoon in a significant Premier League match.

League leaders, Arsenal meet seventh-placed Fulham at the Graven Cottage as the Gunners seek to extend their lead.

Arsenal were victorious in two of their last Premier League matches before drawing 2-2 away to Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League on Thursday.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his side bounces back to winning ways this weekend but faces a tricky away game against stubborn Fulham.

Fulham have been in an outstanding home form this season and are fighting for a spot in Europe next season.

The game against Fulham could be a way for Arsenal to show the spirit of real title contenders as the Gunners would not want to drop any more points.

Mikel Arteta’s side came from two goals down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 at the Emirates last weekend, while Fulham were downed 3-2 away from home by Brentford.

They will go into Saturday’s clash against the league leaders hoping to cause an upset against their London rivals.

Team News:

Fulham defender Joao Palhinha is serving the second of a two-match ban.

Cedric Soares is ineligible against his parent club, while Tom Cairney, Layvin Kurzawa and Neeskens Kebano remain out.

For Arsenal, the Gunners are monitoring Martin Odegaard and Kieran Tierney, who both missed the game against Sporting Lisbon with illness

Another doubt for the game is Leandro Trossard after injuring his groin against Bournemouth and Eddie Nketiah could miss out with an ankle injury.

Manager Mikel Arteta has hinted Gabriel Jesus is nearing a return from the knee injury he suffered during the World Cup but Arsenal are unlikely to rush him into action.

Predicted lineups:

Fulham vs Arsenal predicted lineups
Fulham: Leno; Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Reed, Lukic; Willian, Pereira, Solomon; Mitrovic

Arsenal: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Martinelli, Nelson.

Prediction:

Arsenal will likely win this to keep their title hopes alive as another slip up will not be good for Mikel Arteta’s title chasers.

Fulham have been flying and will have a real go at them. Back in August at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners had to come back from a goal down to win late on, with Jesus getting the crucial goal.

It is going to be another close one this time and former Chelsea forward Chris Sutton is backing Arsenal to find a way, again. He feels the game will end 1-2 in favour of the Premier League leaders.
