Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk has provided a fitness update on Victor Osimhen ahead of his side’s Turkish Super Lig tie with Beşiktaş on Saturday.

Recall that Osimhen scored Galatasaray’s only goal as they defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League in mid-week.

The 26-year-old, who had battled an ankle injury last month, was replaced by Mauro Icardi 19 minutes from time.

Speaking at his pre-match interview ahead of the Beşiktaş clash, Buruk said he rested the Nigerian international in Galatasaray’s last training because he had cramps.

“Osimhen doesn’t have any serious problems,” Buruk said as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.

“He played a match after a long time. He was suffering from cramps along with fatigue.

“We rested him in the last training session; we expect him to be with the team in the new training session.”
