Juventus legend, Giorgio Chiellini has told Major League Soccer (MLS) teams how they can stop Inter Miami captain, Lionel Messi.

Chiellini also insisted that he was not surprised by Messi’s dream start to life at Inter Miami.

According to him, Messi is not a ‘normal player’ and MLS teams need to do more to stop him.

Messi has so far scored five goals in three matches for Inter Miami.

“I was not surprised [by Messi’s brilliant performances for Inter Miami]. The problem is that maybe this league is surprised,” Chiellini said (via AS USA).

“I think they [MLS teams] have to do something better to try to contain Messi.”

The Italian added, “If you think that Messi is a normal player, it is a huge mistake. It means you have not seen him for the last 15 years.

“If Sergio [Busquets] has the ball and you don’t mark Messi … maybe you don’t have a TV at home. I expect a little bit more pressure from the other teams.”
