Boluwatife Balogun, popularly known by his stage name Champz, has officially stepped into the spotlight as he makes his debut in the music industry. The 14-year-old son of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid released his first EP, Champion’s Arrival, which has already claimed the number one spot on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums chart.
Sharing the exciting news on social media, Champz posted a screenshot of the chart along with a thankful message:
“My debut EP No. 1 — God did it. The people believed. Champion’s Arrival is officially sitting at the top, and we’re just getting started. Stream, share, feel it 💫.”
The five-track project, released on November 11, 2025, reached the top of the charts in less than five hours, making Champz the youngest Nigerian artist to ever achieve this feat on Apple Music.
Champion’s Arrival fuses Afrobeats with subtle elements of UK grime, highlighting Champz’s creative range and lyrical confidence. Notably, the project contains no guest features, allowing the young artist’s voice and style to take center stage.
Since its release, songs from the EP have gone viral on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), sparking excitement among fans who have commended his natural talent and stage presence. Many listeners have also noted striking similarities between his artistic flair and his father’s early music journey.
