Gunmen have abducted a 50-year-old woman and her teenage daughter, injuring a 13-year-old boy in Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to a post on Saturday by security analyst Zagazola via X, the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, August 8, at Yarmariya village.
The assailants, armed with dangerous weapons, reportedly stormed the residence of Alhaji Audu Shehu around 1:45 a.m., abducting his wife, Mrs Laure Audu, and 15-year-old daughter, Miss Basira Audu. They also shot his son, Ibrahim Audu, in the left leg.
Police officers from the Tudun Wada Division responded to the scene and evacuated the injured boy to the General Hospital in Tudun Wada, where he is receiving treatment.
The Kano State Police Command confirmed the incident, adding that investigations were ongoing and efforts had been intensified to rescue the abducted victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
