Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen attacked some women and abducted a 12-year-old girl in Ayogwiri community in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Friday, October 20, 2025, when the victim, the mother and other women were returning from the farm.

According to reports, the abductors who later released the victim’s mother are demanding the sum of N5 million ransom for the minor.

Two women were injured during the abduction and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Vigilantes and hunters of the community have combed the bushes and forests in a rescue mission for the kidnapped minor.
