Hajj 2024: Another Kebbi pilgrim dies in Makkah

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the death of another pilgrim in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team made the disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

The Executive Chairman of the board, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, said the deceased identified as Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area of the state, died after a brief illness

He said Governor Nasir Idris had expressed shock over the death and prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

“The governor also urged the immediate family of the deceased, friends and Kebbi pilgrims to take heart and accept the will of God Almighty in good faith,” he added.

The chairman noted that the deceased had since been buried according to Islamic rites after his funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday.

Recall that another pilgrim from the Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Tawalkatu Busare Alako died on May 27, 2024 after a brief illness.
