A US-based Nigerian Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Semiloore Akerele, has addressed men who claim they can’t control themselves from cheating, asking if they have considered chopping off their p3nis.
She stated this after narrating about a patient who chopped off his penis.
According to Akerele, the man explained that he did it because he believed his p3nis was the source of his infidelity.
“During one of my nursing rotations, we had a patient who amputated his own p3nis… yes, exactly as it sounds. He chopped his peepee,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, March 23.
“When we reviewed his history, he explained that he did it because he believed it was the source of his infidelity.
“After a heated argument with his wife about his repeated cheating, he decided to “remove the problem” himself. This isn’t a secondhand story, I was directly involved in his care.
“When he first arrived at the ER, the team attempted surgical reattachment, but unfortunately the tissue became gangrenous after some days, and a full amputation was ultimately required.
“Clearly, there were significant psychiatric factors at play.
“But it does make you pause and think
“For men who say they “can’t help” or “unintentionally” cheat, what does that really mean?
Have you thought about removing the source of the problem?
