Nigerian social media activist, Very Dark Man, has expressed disappointment in the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, over an alleged chat between the Ooni and socialite King Mitchy.
Newsunplug reported that for some days now, VDM and Mitchy have been at war after she dragged him over renovating schools. She claimed she also renovated a school within six days and challenged the activist to give her N50 million to renovate four schools.
The social media influencer had even lost her business page to the drama and had alleged that VDM questioned where she got the money to open her store. She said the activist accused her of inappropriate behaviour, alleging that she was licking a lollipop.
To prove her worth, Mitchy had shared a WhatsApp screenshot of her conversation with the Ooni, in which he praised her for doing great things.
“See all the great things you’re doing on social media. Keep up the good work indeed! Kindly advise when we can talk,” the Ooni said in the chat.
Reacting to it, VDM pointed out the irony that he can bow to the Ooni, yet the monarch was bowing to Mitchy. Expressing disappointment, he noted that Mitchy had degraded the monarch, which is why she can comfortably disregard him, too.
Shading the monarch, he noted how his counterpart, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, can’t do such.
“If I see the Ooni of Ife, I will bow down to greet him, whereas he is bowing down to Mitchy on WhatsApp. A whole Ooni of Ife, I am disappointed. She even referred to him as ‘even this king had to find my contact’. No wonder she can never regard me. A whole first-class king in the history of Nigeria. Shout out to The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, may your reign be great”.
