A dramatic confrontation unfolded after two Zimbabwean women discovered they were both romantically involved with the same married man, Nobert Chifeya, a man now accused of juggling relationships with as many as 15 women.

Police officer Fortunate Tibu and Chiedza Janet Tariro Munyoro joined forces to confront Nobert after learning of his numerous affairs. Nobert, who is married to Ellen Mutasa, had reportedly claimed that his wife was dead, deceiving several of his alleged lovers in the process.

According to reports by H-Metro, Nobert had previously made headlines for allegedly dating nine women simultaneously, but new revelations suggest that the number of his romantic partners has nearly doubled. Many of the women now claim they were emotionally deceived and financially exploited.

Speaking to the media, Nobert admitted to being married but insisted that his relationship with Fortunate was genuine.

“I am a married man, but I fell in love with Fortunate. We opened a clinic together. I had deliveries before it was closed. The equipment was supplied by both Fortunate and Chiedza. When they discovered my other lovers, they united against me,” he said.

Nobert further accused Fortunate of using her position as a police officer to intimidate him and alleged that she and her associates made threats against him.

“Fortunate dragged me to the police several times, taking advantage of her position as an Assistant Inspector. She even brought her relative, claiming to be a Central Intelligence Officer, but he turned out to be a mere security guard,” Nobert added.

Fortunate, who works at the Chitungwiza Police Camp Clinic, said she met Nobert while trying to establish a maternity clinic, Mbuya Nyarai, in Budiriro 5B. Nobert offered to help her source equipment for the project, but the clinic was later shut down by health authorities after operating for only a few months.

“I wanted to start my own clinic. Nobert promised to help me, and I invested everything, I took loans and even sold my car. It was only after buying almost all the equipment that I found out he had lied about his wife’s death,” she said.

Chiedza, who was also involved in the same clinic project, revealed that she had been deceived in a similar way.

“Nobert is not smart, he targets and manipulates women to exploit them. I lost a lot of money before realizing I was just one of many victims,” she said.

Both women have since taken legal action against Nobert, accusing him of fraud and emotional manipulation.
