A Nigerian woman, Chioma Aniegbo, has shared what a male neighbour told her after she let him into the compound when he returned home at 1am.
In what can only be described as an unadulterated audacity, the neighbour told her to leave her door open for him.
“One of the men living opposite me came home last night by 1 am and called me to open the gate. I opened the gate for him and started going back to my house, he drove his bike to his house and said I should leave my door open for him, that he’s coming,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“I should leave my door open by 1 am as how? The speed I used to run inside and locked my door eh. He heard it and realized that I locked my door, then called my name twice, I didn’t respond. The idiót came to Whatsapp and called me on video call. This is the last time I’ll try that nonsense, if no one else opens the gate, he’d sleep outside.”
