Nigerian music superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has expressed his desire for Asake to perform at his wedding.
During an Apple Music Radio takeover interview with the former YBNL artist, Wizkid praised Asake’s music, particularly his hit track “Remember.” He revealed that it was Asake’s song “Omo Ope” that initially drew him in as a fan.
Wizkid highlighted “Remember” from Asake’s 2023 album Work of Art as his favorite song, describing it as remarkable. While sitting next to Asake during the interview, Wizkid offered high praise, emphasizing the singer’s exceptional talent.
“You have one of the most unique voices, not just in Africa but in the entire world,” Wizkid said. “I’ve told you this countless times, and I’ll say it again on the radio. You are truly a blessing to African music.”
Asake appeared visibly moved by the compliments, responding with a grateful “Alhamdulilahi.”
Reports also indicate that Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his manager and third baby mama, Japa P. The couple share three children together: two sons and a daughter.
