Former Manchester United player, Dwight Yorke has said that Bournemouth player, Antoine Semenyo, would be a great new addition to Manchester United.
The Ghana player is ready to move in January after having a great first half of the season with the Cherries so far.
In a conversation with PokerScout, Yorke said that Semenyo is probably the best player in the league when some things are taken into account.
He pointed to the former Bristol City player as someone who would make fans excited if he joins Manchester United.
He also mentioned players like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Ryan Giggs, who are known for their great skills in the club.
“Antoine Semenyo is likely one of the best players, if not the best player in the Premier League right now based on what he’s doing, and when you consider the team he’s playing for.
“If he joins teams with better players, he could have a lot of potential. That’s why all the best teams are paying attention, because he keeps performing at a high level and has been doing so consistently.
“For Manchester United, he used to get fans standing up, I believe he’s a really great player. Is he going to fit in there? What is he going to contribute to the United team? I think he can run with the ball up the field.
“I believe it would be a major step for the manager. Over the years, whenever United have played, they’ve had players who run the ball up the field and Semenyo can do that too.
“It has been very important for United’s success throughout the years. Andrei Kanchelskis, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Antonio Valencia — those kinds of players always get the ball, run really high and deep into the other team’s half.
“That’s what he would also bring, along with goals and his creativity.
“I think he’ll be a great player, but not as a wing-back,” he said via GOAL.
