British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has named Arsenal’s David Raya as the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment.
Morgan said this in a tweet via his X account on Saturday night after Raya featured for Arsenal as they defeated Sunderland 3-0 in the Premier League.
A goal from Martin Zubimendi and a brace from Viktor Gyokeres ensured Arsenal defeated Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking after the game, Morgan said he was impressed with Raya’s display against the visitors.
“Incredibly underrated. Best goalkeeper in the world,” Morgan posted on X alongside Raya’s picture.
Raya has now kept 13 clean sheets in the Premier League for the Gunners so far this season.
The Spaniard has equalled his tally from last season with another 13 league matches still to play this term.
He joined the Premier League North London club on a permanent basis from Brentford in 2024.
