Nigerian singer, Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, popularly known as Bad Boy Timz, has recounted how “assassins” shot him in the eye when he was nine.
He said the gunmen, who ambushed a car conveying his family in the Mushin area of Lagos, started shooting sporadically and one of the bullets hit him in the eye.
The ‘MJ’ crooner disclosed this in a recent chat with British-Nigerian media personality, Shopsydoo.
Timz said: “I got shot in my eye when I was nine years old. They were assassins, they didn’t even stop the car, they just shot the bullets. It was not a robbery.
“Me, my mom, my dad and my immediate elder brother. It was four of us in the car. The incident happened in Lagos, Mushin to be precise. They just overtook us and started shooting. They were targeting my dad’s head, he dodged and the bullet went straight into my eye.”
Timz, who said the assailants were never apprehended, disclosed that he will be undergoing another eye surgery soon.
