Nigerian filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has opened up on the sacrifices she made to build her brand.
While speaking with Morayo Brown at WemaIWD Bank International Women’s Day program, she disclosed that she had to give up her social life, didn’t attend parties and locked herself up in her Estate for almost two years.
According to her, she was writing, producing, directing, playing Jennifer, and supervising every department.
She said her colleagues were mad at her for questioning her for not going out. She claimed they also called her a sadist, unaware that she was building her brand.
