In an interview with Rolling Stone, the renowned music producer revealed that he nearly gave up on music following the collapse of Mo’Hits Records. According to him, the setback was so discouraging that he considered relocating abroad and quitting music production altogether.
However, Don Jazzy noted that the constant encouragement and support from his friends helped him regain confidence and reignite his passion for music a decision that eventually led to the birth of Mavin Records.
“When Mo’Hits ended, I thought that was it. I almost packed up to move abroad. But friends encouraged me to stay and start again, and Mavin Records was born. Since then, I’ve learned not to let anything break me,” he said.
