Former Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, has said that people in Nigeria only praise the de@d.
fresh interview with Channels TV, Fayose said he cannot be part of those praising the administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari as he wasn’t a fan . He said as far as he is concerned, Tinubu has done well since he assumed office two years ago.
When questioned about his closeness to President Tinubu and if he doesn’t want to be remembered as one who spoke truth to power about the current state of the Nation, Fayose replied
‘’There is no emotion here. If you bring Jesus Christ to this country today, you bring Allah, they will criticize him.
He added;
People in Nigeria only praise the de@d ooo…when President Buhari d!ed, I wanted to come out and abuse him. My wife called me and said ‘Please my husband don’t say so’.
Would you say Buhari performed? I am not among those praising the dead oo…Do not honor me when I d!e.
When Buhari was in government, we all know how this was, so nobody should come and tell me Tinubu is not doing well for simple reasons. He is accessible. Was the former President accessible? A lot of things that happened those days, do you still find them in the system? Have you seen a country where everything is rosy? I disagree with you. If you bring our Lord Jesus Christ to power, you bring Pastor Adeboye, you bring Pastor Kumuyi, you bring all these spiritual leaders and join them into one….don’t people abuse them?
So please, Nigeria to me, so far, so good. ‘’
