Popular Nigerian content creator Hamzat Kolu, widely known as Kolu Wahala, has bounced back in style as he proudly showed off his newly acquired car to comedian Carter Efe, weeks after losing his first vehicle to a fire.
The heartwarming reveal took place during a livestream when Kolu invited Carter Efe outside to see the new ride a sleek white sedan. Overcome with excitement, Kolu shared that he was finally back behind the wheel, while Efe reacted with visible shock and admiration as they inspected the car together.
The moment was especially emotional given that Kolu’s previous car, said to be worth about ₦25 million, was destroyed by fire earlier in January 2026, barely 12 days after he purchased it. The incident was a major blow for the entertainer, making the new car a symbol of resilience and recovery.
Kolu’s rise has not been without struggles. He has previously spoken about his difficult days on the streets of Abuja before relocating to Lagos in search of better opportunities.
In earlier interviews, Kolu revealed that singer Portable helped bring him to Lagos and introduced him to the music scene, eventually signing him to Zeh Nation record label. However, in 2025, Kolu parted ways with the label, accusing Portable of mistreatment and lack of support, while still acknowledging his role in launching his career.
Following his exit from Zeh Nation, Kolu found renewed success under the guidance of Carter Efe. Their collaboration on viral skits and livestreams quickly gained traction online, boosting Kolu’s income and ultimately making his new car purchase possible.
