Nigerian rapper Zinoleesky and Ghanaian singer Moliy engaged in a heated social media clash on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The drama began after Moliy dismissed rumours of an upcoming collaboration with Zinoleesky in a rather dismissive tone.

Reacting to a flyer promoting the alleged project, Moliy quoted the post with a simple yet shady response: “Who?” implying she had no idea who Zinoleesky was.

Her remark didn’t sit well with the Nigerian artist, who quickly fired back, calling her a “two-hit wonder.” Zinoleesky also mocked her music catalogue, writing:

“2 hits wonder… and I don’t even know the 2nd song @Moliymusic.”

Moliy clapped back shortly after, expressing relief that Zinoleesky didn’t know her. She added that she only associates with global stars, not “local champions.”

“Very grateful to not be known by you. Artists that know me aren’t local champions,” she wrote.

The online exchange quickly went viral, with some of Zinoleesky’s Nigerian fans threatening to “cancel” Moliy in Nigeria.

Despite the backlash, Moliy remains a strong force in the UK and US Afrobeats scenes, where she boasts two Official Charts placements and two Billboard Hot 100 entries. Her latest track, “Shake It To The Max Remix,” currently holds the number one spot on the US Billboard Afrobeats Chart.
