Popular Nigerian music video director ThankGod Smith Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has opened up about his ongoing battle with kidney disease, describing it as an extremely challenging experience that no one should endure.
According to Newsunplug, Omori has been struggling with the illness for several months, frequently requiring hospital visits as his health fluctuates.
In August 2024, he underwent a kidney transplant to try to improve his condition, but unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful. Since then, he has faced a series of treatments and hospital stays as he continues his medical journey.
Reflecting on the impact of the disease, Omori noted that kidney illness places a heavy burden on both the body and finances. He explained that managing the condition requires constant medical attention, with survival often depending on ongoing treatments and pain management.
He shared that the pain associated with kidney disease can be overwhelming, and many people struggle or even lose their lives because they cannot afford proper care.
Omori emphasized that when facing such a severe illness, money often loses its usual significance, as nearly every available resource is directed toward staying alive. He revealed that treatment costs can reach millions, making survival a significant challenge for many patients.
Despite these hardships, TG Omori expressed gratitude for his continued life, crediting his resilience, the support of loved ones, and grace for helping him persist through the illness.
