Engineer Shyngle Wigwe, father of the late Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe, has dismissed claims that he is involved in any dispute with his grandchildren over his late son’s inheritance.
Herbert Wigwe, along with his wife and their eldest son, tragically died in a helicopter crash in the United States in February 2024. Following the incident, several online reports alleged a family conflict concerning the vast estate left behind by the late banker.
According to those reports, the 90-year-old patriarch was said to be locked in a legal and emotional battle with Herbert’s children over control of his son’s assets.
In a recent interview with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Engineer Wigwe debunked the rumors, describing them as false and unfounded.
