Popular socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest has openly admitted that not supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last general election was a mistake, revealing that he is now adopting a new political approach focused on working with the federal government.

Speaking during a political gathering in Imo State, the entrepreneur described the event as the result of weeks of planning and said it symbolized the growing unity and support for the current administration.

According to him, years of political opposition had not produced the desired results, which informed the decision to change strategy.

“We have decided to partner with the government at the center. We are not ready to fight. We tried fighting and it didn’t work for us,” he said.

Chief Priest also praised Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, for maintaining a close relationship with the federal government, noting that such cooperation has helped bring development to the state.

He further commended Seyi Tinubu, whom he described as a unifying figure playing a role in strengthening relationships across ethnic and regional lines.

Reflecting on the last election, the businessman acknowledged that he had previously opposed Tinubu but now considers that decision a political miscalculation.

“Politics is a game…we don’t want to lose again and we will never waste our votes again,” he said.

He added that the growing support around the president could evolve into one of the largest political movements in the country, promising stronger mobilisation ahead of future elections.

Chief Priest concluded by offering prayers for Tinubu’s success in office and called on Nigerians to embrace unity, cooperation, and partnership as the nation moves forward.
