The Senator’s comments come two weeks after Regina Daniels publicly accused him of domestic violence and stated her intent to end their marriage. Ned Nwoko had countered her claims by accusing her of substance abuse and demanding she enter a rehabilitation facility.
The very public dispute led to widespread controversy, with many Nigerians and public figures criticizing the Senator for allegedly marrying Regina Daniels when she was a minor (reportedly 17 years old) and calling for his resignation from the Senate.
