Ola of Lagos has responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding the demolition of his car lot, setting the record straight about the situation and addressing false information circulating online.

In an official statement, the popular car dealer clarified that he never claimed ownership of the Skywise Group property. Instead, he revealed that he had only leased a portion of the premises to operate his business.

Ola explained that the Lagos State Government’s demolition was due to safety regulation breaches, emphasizing that it was not a targeted action against him.

“I want to clear up the misunderstanding spreading on social media about the demolition of my car lot. I never said I owned the Skywise Group property; I simply rented a section for my business. The Lagos State Government took down the structure because certain safety standards were not met not because I was being singled out,” he said.

His clarification followed backlash from several individuals, including activist Deji Adeyanju, who accused him of trying to claim ownership of the property. Ola urged the public to confirm facts before sharing misinformation, stressing that the demolition was purely a regulatory issue, not a personal one.
