A Nigerian mother recently went viral after a video of her praising Afrobeats star Davido surfaced online.
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, spoke highly of Davido’s character, calling him “a responsible individual” who takes pride in his family and shows discipline in all he does.
In the video, she highlighted that despite coming from a wealthy background, Davido has worked hard to create his own legacy, making his accomplishments even more impressive.
Speaking in Yoruba, she mentioned that Davido, who recently acquired a new car, embodies the qualities every well-raised child should aspire to.
She also revealed that she prays for him daily not because they know each other personally but because of his humility and dedication throughout his career. The mother commended the singer for honoring his family name and maintaining a positive public image.
The clip gained extra attention when her daughter asked about Wizkid. In response, the woman admitted that she did not know who he was, sparking discussions online.
