Fresh information has surfaced about why BBNaija star Mercy Atang’s marriage to her husband came to an unexpected end.
The mother of one had a glamorous wedding in 2024, with photos and videos from the event dominating social media. Mercy also shared affectionate clips online at the time, proudly speaking about the special role her father-in-law assigned to her after the ceremony.
However, the marriage barely lasted a year. Mercy later confirmed the breakup after a curious fan questioned her about it on social media.
Following her confirmation, a social media user identified as Hector Babe claimed to know what contributed to the collapse of the union. According to her, Mercy’s online lifestyle may have strongly influenced the outcome of the marriage.
Hector accused the reality TV star of constantly dancing and flaunting her curves online, questioning why a married woman would engage in such content and who she was doing it for. She added that she was relieved King David Oyekanmi had moved on.
Other fans also weighed in on the matter. One commenter suggested that Mercy may have been too attached to the glamour of her celebrity life, making her unwilling to relocate abroad to live with her husband.
