Actress Doyin Kukoyi has addressed claims that she is married to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
In an interview on Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube channel, Doyin explained that the rumor started after a photo from a movie location went viral. In the production, she and Ogogo played a married couple whose daughter was getting married.
She recalled that after she shared the photo on her social media page, many people mistook it for reality, leading to ongoing speculation about her relationship with Ogogo.
She said:
“I was at a movie location with Ogogo, we both played the movie roles of husband and wife where our daughter got married.
The two of us took a picture, and I shared the picture on my social media page, and some people took out the picture and started saying that we were married. Till today, a lot of people still believe that I’m married to Ogogo.
I took the picture with Ogogo because I loved him.”
Beyond addressing the rumor, Doyin reflected on her career, noting that she has been active in Nollywood for over thirty years. She added that her first media experience began at Daar Communications.
Talk of a romantic link between her and Ogogo first surfaced in 2022 after she posted photos with him online and jokingly referred to him as her husband.
