Nollywood actress Georgina Ibeh has shared her testimony, recalling a tough moment she went through.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the mother of sons said that on the 9th of February, 2026, she received an email from YouTube saying her channel had been removed. Georgina said she wanted to panic, but she told herself to calm down.
The movie star said she spent days crying to God, not knowing what to do. In one of her moments talking with God, the Holy Spirit told her to check her page, and she did. To her surprise, she noticed it had been restored; however, someone had taken control of it and was using it to promote politics.
To cut a long story short, she received an email from YouTube saying her channel has been fully recovered.
Georgina added that she has learnt to stay calm amid chaos. According to her, she learnt that three years ago.
“My YouTube channel got hacked on the 9th of February at 1:22 pm. I am Georgina Ibeh, and I am the owner of Georgina Ibeh TV on YouTube.
On the 9th of February, at 1:23 am, I was nursing my baby to sleep, and I got an email. I opened it, and it says, ‘We have removed your channel from YouTube ‘
I asked myself, “What did I press?”
Or what did I do?
I thought it was one of those spam messages or scammers.
Apparently, someone hacked into my YouTube account and used it on Live. The person removed my name and replaced it with ‘Fox Live’.
I didn’t know what to do; I wanted to panic, but I told myself to calm down.
I just told God to help me because I didn’t know what to say. One spirit just told me to go check my YouTube channel. I quickly went to YouTube, dialled up my channel, and it popped up. The scammer used my channel to upload political content.
Yesterday, my YouTube manager said we’ve gotten our channel, but we need YouTube to authorise us.
We waited, and I got an email saying my channel has been recovered.
