Popular Nigerian actress, Omowunmi Ajiboye, has claimed that movie director and actor, Segun Ogungbe didn’t know any of her family members.
This is coming barely two years after their messy split.
NEWSUNPLUG recalls that after the duo’s separation in 2023, Omowunmi was dragged by netizens for not acknowledging Segun Ogungbe’s presence at her mother’s burial ceremony.
The celebration of the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, MC Oluomo’s presence at the funeral sparked speculation of a romantic relationship with Omowunmi.
Reacting to the controversy, the actress in a post on her Instagram page, denied dating MC Oluomo.
Following the backlash, Omowunmi took a break from acting and relocated abroad.
However, speaking in her latest interview on Oyinmomo TV, Omowunmi disclosed that Ogungbe has not met with any of her family members before.
Despite having two kids together, she described Ogungbe simply as the father of her children and not her husband.
While pleading with the public to stop trolling her, she said “Let me just set the record straight, Segun Ogungbe and I were never married or engaged. We just have kids.
“Segun Ogungbe has never met with any of my family members, except a friend of my sibling who lives in Lagos. Segun himself can confirm this.”
