Popular social media commentator VeryDarkMan has stirred debate online after weighing in on the behavior of partners who frequently call or text each other during work hours or while managing a business.

He argued that constantly checking in with a partner just to say “I miss you” or demand attention should not be mistaken for love, but rather seen as a potential warning sign.

According to VeryDarkMan, authentic love allows individuals the space to focus on their work, responsibilities, and personal growth, rather than creating emotional pressure. He explained:

“If you’re in a relationship and there’s a real connection, but your partner keeps texting you at work saying things like, ‘Baby, I miss you,’ or ‘I want to see you,’ that isn’t love. That energy can work against you. Any partner who can’t wait until you finish your work or business is someone to be cautious of.”

He stressed that a healthy relationship is not possessive or disruptive, highlighting the importance of respecting each other’s time, space, and commitments.

The commentary has sparked mixed reactions online. Some users agreed with VeryDarkMan, noting that constant messaging can reflect insecurity or an attempt to control. Others, particularly women, disagreed, arguing that expressing affection or longing does not automatically indicate manipulation.

This conversation has reignited broader discussions on boundaries, emotional dependence, and what constitutes a healthy, balanced relationship in today’s world.
