Social media personality and outspoken critic VeryDarkMan has addressed the criticism surrounding his recent association with Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, following accusations that he betrayed fellow music star Davido.
Speaking on the issue, VeryDarkMan dismissed the claims, making it clear that he has never belonged to Davido or worked for him. According to him, people are unfairly assuming that spending time with Burna Boy automatically means he has switched sides.
He stressed that he is an independent individual who is free to associate with anyone he chooses, regardless of the perceived rivalry between the two Afrobeats superstars.
In his words:
“Recently a lot of people are saying that I betrayed Davido because I’m now chilling with Burna Boy. I am not Davido boy, I’m not working for Davido… if Davido and Burna Boy have problem that’s their business.”
The social commentator maintained that any differences between Davido and Burna Boy should remain strictly between the two artists and should not affect his personal relationships. He insisted that he has no obligation to choose sides or limit who he interacts with because of their reported feud.
His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some users agreed that he has the right to be friends with anyone without being judged, others argued that his close ties with both camps naturally invite public scrutiny.
