Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has raised the alarm over fake social media accounts created in her name to defraud the public.
The actress, in a post on her Instagram page Thursday evening, asked the public to beware of fake accounts operating under her name.
While calling on her fans and the general public to be vigilant, she disowned a UK job vacancy post shared by the impersonator, calling it “fraudulent.”
The UK-based actress said she would never solicit money, ask for personal information, or request private conversations on alternative platforms.
“Please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested money. I will never request personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my main page.
“A post was made on my account offering a job vacancy in the UK and we realized it was fraudulent. Please disregard. Your safety and trust mean so much to me,” Bukky Wright stated.
