Popular online figure Isaac Fayose has openly criticized Minister Nyesom Wike following his viral clash with military personnel.

According to reports, a tense confrontation unfolded on Tuesday in Abuja between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and military officer Yerima during a land enforcement operation. The incident quickly gained widespread attention online.

Video footage circulating on social media shows Wike in a heated exchange with soldiers as he tried to gain access to a piece of land in the capital. The disputed property is reportedly linked to retired Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, a former Chief of Naval Staff.

During the confrontation, Wike challenged the troops, insisting that the developers lacked valid land titles and building approvals. When a soldier resisted his directives, the minister appeared visibly frustrated and argued aggressively.

Reacting to the viral clip, Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, questioned Wike’s handling of the situation. He urged the minister to assert his authority firmly and not allow the scenario to undermine his position.

Fayose also injected humor into his critique, describing the incident as both embarrassing and oppressive, while encouraging Wike to stand his ground without intimidation.

“The land is your land, Wike. Oppressors jam oppressors. Don’t let those soldiers chance you,” Fayose said in the viral clip.
