Nigerian TikTok star Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has opened up about why she was able to move on swiftly following her split from fellow content creator Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, widely known as Peller.
In a video posted online, Jarvis explained that women often navigate breakups more smoothly, crediting her own quick recovery to her confidence and self-belief.
Their breakup attracted public attention in December last year, particularly after Peller was involved in a staged car accident linked to threats following their separation. A few weeks later, he confirmed that their relationship had officially ended, noting that they continue to maintain a friendly rapport.
Jarvis shared that her self-respect and strong sense of identity made it easier for her to let go of the past and embrace new opportunities. She stressed that women typically do not linger on ended relationships, and her own experience mirrors this approach.
She added that being secure in who she is and what she stands for empowered her to move on confidently, without hesitation.
While Jarvis appears to have moved forward, Peller seems to be grappling with the breakup. Recently, he revealed that he does not plan to pursue love again and even declared that he would never marry a Nigerian woman, indicating that the split has had a lasting impact on him, in contrast to Jarvis’s focus on personal growth and self-assurance.
