Enzo Fernandez’s agent, Javier Pastore, has reacted to Chelsea’s decision to punish the Argentina midfielder.
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior revealed at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Fernandez will not feature in the Blues’ next two matches against Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-final this weekend and next weekend’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
This comes after Fernandez said he would like to live in Madrid in the near future.
“The punishment is completely unfair,” Pastore told The Athletic.
“Enzo didn’t understand the situation. He did not mention any club or say he wants to leave Chelsea, far from it.
“He only mentions Madrid, the city, because he was asked which European city he’d like to live in one day, and he said Madrid, but at no point does he say he wants to leave Chelsea or London.”
