Former Minority leader House of Reps and a close ally of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, Farouk Aliyu, says it is unfortunate that some Nigerians have gone online to rain insults on the former Nigerian leader who passed on on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
In a chat with Channels TV today July 15, Aliyu said
‘’People should think before going into leadership. Are you willing to live with these kinds of things because you could even be alive, leave office and things will start coming back to you. ‘’I should have done this the way, I should have done that way and so on’..so people should think that ultimately there is de@th and when you d!e, when one d!es, it is just between you and your God ALmighty…so we that are in position of leadership and want to be leaders, we should be careful that there will be end to all these things and that de@th is inevitable..so life is transient.
Whatever you find yourself, you are a president, a governor, you are what you are, de@th will come to you..In this country we lost Murtala Mohammed, we lost Shonekan, Shagari, Abacha, now we have lost Buhari…so those in authority today, some day they will also d!e..So they should take this as a lesson. If you look at social media, you will find so many reigning insult on the late President , it is unfortunate. So the leaders that are alive today should take lessons from these lessons these kind of things…there are some that will never forgive you…so because of those ones, try to do your best”
