Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has petitioned the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, over alleged misconduct by officers of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre, NPF‑NCC, and VeryDarkMan.

In the petition, submitted through her legal representatives, The Maverick Forte Legal, on July 29, 2025, Iyabo Ojo accused NPF‑NCC of professional breaches during her interrogation at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

In the widely circulated petition, the actress explained that during her recent interrogation with the police, VeryDarkMan, who is a civilian and defendant in another case in which she is a witness, was granted access to the room.

The document also claims that the Commissioner of Police, CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche, granted VeryDarkMan access to the interrogation room due to his improper relationship with him, noting that details of her private session with the police were leaked online by VeryDarkMan.

While vowing to stop attending sessions at the Abuja office, the actress called for the case to be transferred to Lagos, for an independent investigation, and for an end to “tainted and partial inquiry.”

NEWSUNPLUG reports that Iyabo Ojo was invited by the police for calling out Naira Marley over his alleged involvement in singer Mohbad’s death.
