Kim Kardashian, 44, works out for an hour and a half every single day to stay in shape, focusing mainly on strength training.
In a recent interview with Vogue, she shared details about her exercise routine. “I’m a big weightlifter, so I do lots of weights,” she said. “I’ve had some back issues, so I’ve had to readjust just some of my workouts, but I have to do lower body in order to stay toned. I do a few days of upper body.”
She explained that she typically selects a body part to focus on during each workout. “I do an hour and a half a day, with weights and stretching, and a little bit of cardio,” Kardashian said. “I love pilates … I find when I don’t incorporate pilates at least once a week, I can feel it in my back. I definitely need that lengthening and stretching.”
The mother of four revealed that she usually exercises in the morning but admitted to getting distracted. “I am the kind of annoying workout person where I check my phone throughout the workout, though, and respond to people,” she said. “I’m sure that really frustrates my trainer.”
She also shared what motivates her during workouts. She enjoys listening to Justin Bieber, though she noted that dancing workouts or hot yoga aren’t for her. “I did it once and I fell asleep,” she said of hot yoga. “Just with the mood, and you lay down and close your eyes. I can fall asleep anywhere, so put me in the position to fall asleep, and I will.”
Kardashian is currently promoting her new NikeSkims collection in partnership with Nike, which launches on September 26. She posted an Instagram video featuring herself and other athletes, including Serena Williams, Sha’Carri Richardson, Jordan Chiles, and Chloe Kim, all working out in the collection.
“I love to work out it’s my therapy,” she told Vogue.
