A lady has shared an experience she and her sister had at a restaurant in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to her, after they finished their meal and asked for the bill, the waiter informed them that some gentlemen had already paid for it.
She said they looked over at the men, nodded and said thank you, then remained at their table taking pictures for a few more minutes.
However, about 10 minutes later, the waiter allegedly returned with a message.
The men reportedly said that since the ladies did not come over to their table after the bill was settled, they should pay for the meal themselves.
Sharing her reaction, she wrote, “Men can be funny. They try to weaponize their provision. We’re not even broke.”
