The police in Lagos state have arrested a 40-year-old woman, Akintola Alima, for allegedly invading a school in a school in the Ijegun area of the state and abducting three pupils on Monday, March 11.

According to police sources, Alima and other members of her gang invaded the school premises at about 3.30pm and abducted the three pupils. The police were alerted and they engaged the kidnappers in a hot chase.

Alima was apprehended while the three pre-nursery pupils she abducted were rescued from her. She has since been arrested while her accomplices escaped with an unregistered motorcycle.

The pupils who are Sofiat, 4, Isreal 5 and Mustapha, 6, have been reunited with their families.

The suspect is currently in police custody while efforts are being made to arrest her accomplices.
