Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has claimed that Endrick’s progression at Real Madrid has been stalled by the presence of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes in the team.

Ancelotti did not call Endrick up for the final rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers despite resting a couple of key players.

The 19-year-old was last picked in March, as he fights for regular playing time at Madrid.

Last season, Endrick started only three LaLiga fixtures, when Ancelotti was still manager of Los Blancos.

“I coached Endrick for a year and really liked him as a person and as a professional,” Ancelotti told ESPN.

“And, obviously, he didn’t play as well as he could, because Real Madrid had Rodrigo, Vini; competition in a big team is important, and that can affect a player’s progression a little.”
