Nigeria forward Chrisantus Uche scored on his LaLiga debut as Getafe held Athletico Bilbao 1-1 in their opening fixture for the 2024–25 season.
Oihan Sancet gave Athletico Bilbao the lead three minutes before the half-hour mark.
Uche, however, rescued a point for his side in the 64th minute.
The 21-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game.
The forward joined Getafe from the Spanish third-division club Cueta this summer.
Jose Bordalos’ side will host Rayo Vallecano in their next league game.
