Atletico Madrid head coach, Diego Simeone has once again demanded that Ademola Lookman work on the defensive side of his game, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
Lookman, who completed his move from Atalanta to the LaLiga giants earlier this month, has already shown why Atletico made a shrewd decision in securing his services.
The 28-year-old has scored four goals, and registered three assists in seven outings across all competitions since his arrival at the Metropolitano Stadium.
However, despite the Nigeria international’s impressive output, Simeone has demanded he do more for the team.
“Ademola Lookman arrived with great enthusiasm and desire to keep growing. We need him to add defensive work to what he already gives us offensively, because he has that ability,” Simeone told a press conference ahead of his side’s league clash with Real Oviedo.
“He’s shown it with the Nigeria national team, and we need him in that role.
