Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi, was spotted inside the redeveloped Nou Camp Stadium on Sunday, sparking rumours of a possible return to Barcelona.
Messi left Barca to join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in August 2021.
Since then, he has not returned to the club.
However, posting a picture of himself inside the stadium, he wrote: “Last night I returned to a place I miss with my soul.
“A place where you guys made me feel a thousand times the happiest person in the world.
“I hope one day I return, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I never got to…”
Messi has also been linked with a loan move to Galatasaray, as he tries to maintain his fitness ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
